As a Toronto-based Director, Cinematographer and Video Editor, Zia Khalid has mastered the art of creating a unique pictorial style. His passion for film started at a young age and it’s that passion that continues to drive his work ethic. Since his Music Video Directorial debut, Zia’s work has garnered interest across the world bringing him his recent opportunity to work with the British Council in Dubai. In addition to shooting for the Pan Am Games and Toronto International Film Festival, his career has brought him opportunities to work with Grammy award-winning artists Sandi Patty, Jim Brickman and Gord Bamford. He shot, co-directed, and edited a six-part Recruitment series with renowned photographer Rob Waymen for Bennett Jones LLP. The series earned them 1st places at both the International and Canadian LMA Awards.

The latest documentary “When Pelicans Fly” opened to sold out crowds in Maple Leaf Gardens for the Steubenville conference. His Short film “Peaceful Desolation” has been featured in The War & Peace Art festival at the HKU University of the Arts in Utrecht, Netherlands. Other branded content clients include Sony, One King West, Nanawall, Marvel/DC comics, AutoDesk, Clean Eating Magazine, Xtreme Couture, Cadillac Fairview, Phonak and many more.
